SUSTAINABILITY

At ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street and Accor, we are deeply committed to environmental sustainability and the responsible management of our operations. We recognize the impact that the hospitality industry can have on the environment, and we are dedicated to reducing our ecological footprint while promoting a positive and sustainable experience for our guests.

Every container counts. Every action matters.

At ibis Styles Brisbane, sustainability is about making everyday decisions that create long-term value for our communities and the environment.

Through our 2026 recycling program, we estimate the recovery of more than 16,000 containers, returning valuable materials to the circular economy. This effort is projected to divert approximately 1 tonne of material from landfill, avoid around 1 tonne of carbon emissions, conserve an estimated 4,300 litres of water, and support a reduction in the use of virgin raw materials.

The recovered materials from guest rooms and the restaurant are given a new life through recycling and remanufacturing, supporting a more circular and resource-efficient future.

While these numbers may seem modest on their own, they demonstrate the power of collective action. Every bottle, can and container recovered contributes to reducing waste, conserving natural resources and lowering environmental impact.

Sustainability is not a destination for us. It is a way of operating. By making responsible choices today, we are helping build a cleaner, more resilient future for tomorrow.
